Our 5-Step Plant Healthcare Program Will Leave Your Garden Refreshed & Resilient

Springtime is here at last. Gardens all across Jefferson City, MO and the surrounding areas are starting to bloom. Follow along as we demonstrate the care we put into mid-Missouri homeowners’ garden designs.

Step 1: A spring insecticide application to keep pests away from your garden 

The first procedure enacted by Boulder Creek Lawn & Landscape is an insecticide application at the beginning of March. We use high quality general purpose insecticide, as well as Tri Trek fungicide to keep unwanted insects out of your lawn. We apply these products as needed so the plants are not harmed, and we always take a proactive approach to pest prevention. 

Step 2: We fertilize your garden for the spring using ArmorTech products 

Next, to enhance spring blooming and provide nutrients to your garden we apply plant fertilization around April. We use ArmorTech products in our fertilization process because it is advanced at expanding flower and root growth, facilitating water absorption, and providing more strength for the plants to defend themselves. The “28 + Si” fertilizer has a low salt index, mixes well with micronutrients and insecticides, and uses a bioavailable silica to strengthen the plant cell walls. 

Step 3: Our landscape gardeners apply insecticide for the summer 

Once the summer begins, we apply insecticide again. This ensures that the pests don’t bother your plants after the springtime ends. Under this systemic insecticide, your landscape is protected all year round! 

Step 4: Plant fertilization in early fall 

The next time we visit your landscape is when the leaves start turning brown and autumn is just around the corner. Again, using ArmorTech products of the highest quality, we fertilize the lawn and plants for fall blooming. We want your plants to be well-fed and going strong as cold weather returns to mid-Missouri..   

Step 5: Conclude the winter season with a Nutriculture fertilizer application 

The last step to our year-round plant healthcare program is a fertilizer application for the winter ahead. For this application, we use 20-20-20 Nutriculture fertilizer, which provides over 60% nutrient value to your garden landscaping. None of your plants will be starving this winter!
